history
As early as 1906, the Evangelical Higher Töchterschule was founded in Sulzbach in Upper Palatinate , which was converted into the Evangelical Higher Girls' School in 1911 . For the school year 1925/26 the school was renamed Evangelisches Mädchenlyzeum . The sponsorship passed to the city of Sulzbach in 1933, the school was now called the municipal six-class high school for girls , after the opening for boys, the municipal six-class high school for boys and girls . In May 1946 the school became the Städtische Realschule Sulzbach-Rosenberg , which in 1955 became the Städtische Oberrealschule and, after a further change of sponsor, in 1957 became the Staatliche Oberrealschule ; The Sulzbach-Rosenberg grammar school emerged from this in 1965 . The last name change to Herzog-Christian-August-Gymnasium Sulzbach-Rosenberg took place in 1985.
