Heusiepen is a hamlet in the north of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Remscheid , in the Lüttringhausen district , on the city limits of Wuppertal . The name of the court was first mentioned in 1639. At that time the name was "Heysiepen", where "Hei" is a Low German name for "fog" and a spring stream in the foggy valley was conceivable here.
Location and description
The location, which consists of only about half a dozen houses, is in the west of Lüttringhausen. The neighboring villages are in the west and Langenhaus in the south in the Remscheid area and Heidt in the northeast in the Wuppertal district of Ronsdorf . Heusiepen is surrounded by meadows in a valley basin of the Heusiepen stream of the same name , which is partially dammed up as a fish pond, at 245 meters above sea level . The forested local recreation area Gelpetal with the Ronsdorf dam and the Saalbach valley is in the immediate vicinity.
The Röntgenweg and other local hiking trails cross Heusiepen.

Heusiepen appears as Heisiepen on the map of the town of Ronsdorf by geometer JW Buschmann from 1790. The court was formerly part of the Grund school district .
