General

Promotion campaign in Zurich

today was published in Zurich , Bern and Basel and was partly tailored to the different places of publication. The newspapers were in green boxes at train stations, in city centers and in most McDonald’s restaurants and Migrol petrol stations. According to a report by Weltwoche, empty newspaper boxes were rarely to be found. In central locations such as Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse , the paper was also distributed by hand at peak times.

today there was a print run of over 200,000 copies. The first editor-in-chief was Bernhard Weissberg , who switched to Blick in November 2007 as editor-in-chief . Until April 30, 2008, the editorial team was a. i. Daniel Steil led. From May 1, 2008, Peter Röthlisberger was editor-in-chief, his deputy was Markus Helbling; both of them initially held these posts during the evening look .

On March 5, 2008 it was announced that the newspaper would be discontinued. Since the Blick was redesigned at the beginning of 2008, it was replaced today on June 2, 2008 by the new Blick in the evening .

content

today , an average of two pages of advertisements contained ten pages of editorial content each. The messages were prepared in Teletext format and enriched with a lot of picture material. The sheet was divided into colors: blue (news pages: people, Switzerland, foreign countries, economy, digital, regions ZH / BE / BS, pictures of the day), green (sport), yellow (background, lifestyle, knowledge) and red (community, Tips for going out, singles, nightlife). The columnists were also encouraged to be brief. As usual in free newspapers, the back page of the paper was the program: Both the fashion section and a mini-column should be aimed at young, urban readers.
