At the end of 2018, the Motorworld Group, as operator, was approved for temporary use of the mobile Ferris wheel Hi-Sky Munich on the site of the future Munich Concert Hall in the immediate vicinity of Munich's Ostbahnhof . It was initially planned that the Ferris wheel would be in place for at least two years or until the property was needed for the construction of the concert hall. The construction in spring 2019 took about a month. It was opened in April 2019.

The ferris wheel is 78 meters high; each of its 27 gondolas can accommodate up to sixteen people. At a relatively low turning speed of less than 0.5 km / h, the journey takes thirty minutes. In the south a view of the alpine panorama is possible and in all other directions a panoramic view of Munich and the Upper Bavarian region. In addition to pure tours, combinations with small events such as B. book a Munich white sausage meal in one of the gondolas.

It is the largest Ferris wheel in Germany . According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung , it was also the largest mobile ferris wheel in the world when it opened.

The operator was initially Motorworld Munich . With effect from July 2020, a new operator took over the plant, which will henceforth operate under the name Umadum ( Bavarian for "all around") and will be operated at its location until spring 2022.
