Johann Salentin Wilhelm Freiherr von Nesselrode-Ehreshoven (* 1634 ; † 1715 ) was canon in the prince-bishopric of Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Johann Salentin Wilhelm von Nesselrode-Ehreshoven came as the son of Matthias von Nesselrode-Ehreshoven (1592–1670) and his wife Maria Elisabeth von Wylich († 1656) of the Westphalian noble family von Nesselrode . From this, which had its headquarters from 1396 to 1921 in Ehreshoven Castle , numerous bailiffs and councilors in Bergisch services as well as canons and canons emerged. Johann Salentin had seven siblings: Anna Catharina (Kanonisse in Rintrup) and Anna Johanna Sebastiana (∞ Franz Wessel von der Recke ), Franz, Johann Matthias , Johann Bertram , Johann Sigismund and Johann Wilhelm . Johann Salentin married Freiin Franziska Margaretha Christina von Brempt († 1696) on January 21, 1666. The son Johann Hermann Franz (1671–1751), who was married to Countess Maria Ludovika von Virmond , emerged from the marriage. Their son Johann Wilhelm Maximilian (1726–1800) was married to Maria Theresia Agatha von Auersperg (1729–1803).

Act

On October 24, 1656, Johann Salentin was presented as canon by his brother Johann Wilhelm and sworn to the families Nesselrode, Wylich, Loe and Brempt . For the purpose of emancipation, he presented a certificate from the Collegium Germanicum in Rome on April 26, 1657 . Its intention to continue studying in Rome, he did not pursue and resigned on 19 December 1665 and married Baroness von Brempt .
