Hide from the Sun is the sixth album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus and was released on September 12, 2005. All songs were written by the band members themselves and the album was produced by Micke Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen . For the song Dead Promises , The Rasmus got support from the band Apocalyptica .

No fear
The first single was No Fear and was released on August 29, 2005. The 2-track version contains the additional song No Fear (Freelance Hellraiser Remix) . On the maxi single are the additional songs Immortal and No Fear (Vrenna Remix) . The maxi single also features the video for No Fear. In the first week she went from number 0 to 13 in the German single charts.
The video for No Fear shows a sleepwalking woman who unconsciously gets into dangerous situations. For example, she walks on a busy road and causes an accident.
Sail Away
Sail Away was the album's second single and was released on October 28, 2005. The 2-track version contains an additional song called Sail Away (Bentown Mix Down) . On the maxi single are the additional songs Sail Away (Acoustic Live), Sail Away (Benztown Chill Out Mix) and Lucifer's Angel . The maxi single also features the video for Sail Away.
In the video for Sail Away , singer Lauri walks along a beach where he sees several stranded people. He later comes to a hall where the rest of the band is playing their instruments. A sand storm comes up and the band members turn to sand.
Shot
Shot is the third single taken from Hide from the Sun . It was published on April 21, 2006. The maxi-single contains the live versions of Keep Your Heart Broken and Shot and the acoustic version of Open My Eyes as an addition. The CD also gives you access to Shot's video and its "making-of".
In the video for Shot , The Rasmus are on a planet with two suns and play their song there, while other planets and comets can be seen in the background .
Hide from the Sun - Limited Edition
The limited edition of the album contains the additional track Dancer in the Dark (3:28). The song tells the story of the film Dancer in the Dark from 2000. It extends the album to 48 min 30 sec. The Japanese version of the album contains another additional title called Trigger (2:47). With it the length of the album is 47 min 49 sec. The British Limited Edition of Hide from the Sun also contains the bonus song Open My Eyes (3:49).
