Hienghène Sport is a New Caledonian football club from Koné , which plays in the highest New Caledonian men's league. The team plays the games at the Stade de Hienghène.
history
Founded in 1997, Hienghène Sport won the national cup competition twice (2013 and 2015). In 2015, the team finished second in the Super Ligue and qualified for the OFC Champions League 2017 for the first time . Before that, they reached second place in 2009, 2012 and 2013. The club also took part in the French Cup in 2013 and 2015 . In 2013 they were eliminated with 1: 2 against AS Poissy and in 2015 with 2: 3 against RC Épernay Champagne, each in the seventh round. In 2017, the club was finally able to celebrate the first national championship but still did not take part in the OFC Champions League the following year .
The most famous player is the national player Bertrand Kaï , who has been with the club since 2017. The team is coached by the former Tahitian international Félix Tagawa .
