Hientalklause
The Hientalklause (also: Mitterecker Klause ) is a hermitage on Hientalbach in the district White Forst the municipality Schneizlreuth . In addition to its function as a hermitage , the Hientalklause presumably also acted as a Schwenzklause for the Bäckinger Klause .
The hermitage and the lock keeper's house are under monument protection and are registered in the Bavarian monument list under the number D-1-72-131-53 .
Building description
The Hientalklause is a drift weir made of quarry stone masonry with an associated drift keeper's house.
history
The Hientalklause was mentioned as a wooden structure as early as 1624. In the course of the renovation of the Bavarian salt works under Elector Karl Theodor , today's hermitage was built in 1798, which was reinforced in 1897 by an additional porch.
In the years 1811/12 the Hientalklause delivered 300 fathoms of wood to the saltworks in Reichenhall .
location
The Hientalklause is located on the upper reaches of the Schwarzache well before the Bäckinger Klause west of Weißbach on the Alpine Road at an altitude of 840 m above sea level. NHN .
