Hieronymus (III) Praetorius
Hieronymus (III) Praetorius (born November 22, 1614 in Hamburg ; † November 25, 1629 there ) was a German composer and organist.
Hieronymus was the son of Jacob Praetorius' d. J. He went to the Johanneum School of Scholars . Jerome died shortly after his 15th birthday. Two corpse poems dedicated to him suggest that he promised to occupy the place of the famous Hieronymus (I) Praetorius , who had recently died, because of his talent .
Klaus Beckmann has a Magnificat | 1 Toni | Hieronymi | Organ work titled Prætorij from the Zellerfeld organ tablature , which was previously ascribed to Hieronymus (I), reassigned to Hieronymus (III) for reasons of style criticism. It consists of three Versus: a tenor development and two chorale fantasies.
