Location of the canton of Annecy-le-Vieux in the Haute-Savoie department

The Canton of Annecy-le-Vieux is a French constituency in the Haute-Savoie department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It comprises eight municipalities in the Arrondissement of Annecy and has its main town (French:  bureau centralisateur ) in Annecy . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in spring 2015, its borders were slightly changed.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Annecy-le-Vieux included the 14 municipalities of Alex , Annecy-le-Vieux, Argonay, Bluffy , Charvonnex, Cuvat , Dingy-Saint-Clair , Menthon-Saint-Bernard , Nâves -Parmelan, Pringy, Saint-Martin-Bellevue, Talloires , Veyrier-du-Lac and Villy-le-Pelloux . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​146.64 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 7430.
