The canton of Thônes was a French canton in the Haute-Savoie department until 2015 . It comprised ten parishes; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Thônes . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Paul Amoudry.
