The canton of Seyssel was a French canton in the Haute-Savoie department until 2015 . It comprised eleven parishes ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Seyssel . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Christian Monteil was the last representative in the conseil général des Départements.

The canton should not be confused with the canton of the same name in the Ain department , which is directly adjacent to it but is on the other side of the Rhone .
