Hieronymus Galle
Hieronymus Galle the Elder , also Hieronymus Galle I (baptized August 25, 1625 in Antwerp ; † after 1679 there ), was a Flemish flower and still life painter of the Baroque .
Live and act
Hieronymus grew up as the son of Elisabeth Claessens and Huibrecht Galle, who was the Antwerp envoy in Brussels . In 1636 he joined the Antwerp Guild of Luke and became a master in 1645/46. The few pictures he has survived, on which mostly flowers and fruits can be seen, are reminiscent of works by Daniel Seghers and can be found scattered in various European collections.
