The Hietlbach , also known as the Hütlbach , is a 1.3 km long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .

course

The Hietlbach arises in the northern part of the township Bärnbach , in the central part of the cadastral municipality Hochtregist , southwest of the scattered settlement Schrapfberg on the southern slope of the Schrapfberg . It flows in a flat curve to the right to the south-west. In the northern part of the Bärnbach cadastral community and south of the Kleinkainach district , it flows into the Kainach in the southeast of the Bärnbach Castle Baths and Alt-Kainach Castle, about 200 meters east of the L341, which shortly afterwards turns left.

On its course, the Hietlbach takes on an unnamed watercourse from the left.

Flood protection

To protect against flooding, flood protection was built on the Hietlbach in 1993 .
