The Higgins Nunatak is a Nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It is the largest of the Samuel Nunatakkers in the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after John C. Higgins, supply engineer at McMurdo Station during Operation Deep Freeze of 1966.
