The High Lake ( English for high seas ) is a small lake on the East Antarctic George V coast . It is located southwest of Low Lake , west of East Lake and 725 m east-southeast of the largest of the Mawson's Huts on Cape Denison . It is the highest lake in this area.

The Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson named him during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914). The official recognition of this designation took place on March 7, 1991 by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia .
