High Note is an American animated short film directed by Chuck Jones in 1960.

action

A note wakes up and begins to prepare a sheet of music with other notes . It should sound on the beautiful blue Danube . The notes stretch the staff lines, write down the tempo drawing, bend the treble clef , distribute the crosses , the bar line and the 3 and 4 for the bar. Then the notes move into position and the conductor's note begins to conduct. The music plays and a spot lights up every note that is played. But after a short time the music stops - a note is missing.

You hear it hiccup and a red note crawls out of the music sheets for Little Brown Jug . She staggers through the staff, uses a cross for tic-tac-toe and a whole note as a seat and finally trains a pause sign as a puppy. The conductor's note is enough and both notes are chased, in which eighth notes are also used as horses. At the end, the note hangs upside down in its usual place. The music starts playing, but pauses again in the same place as before. The conductor's note looks down from its place at the sheet of paper and is horrified: except for the first notes, it is empty. All of the sheet music has gone to the score for Little Brown Jug and they 're having a big party.
