Hildebrand Christoph von Hardenberg
Hildebrand Christoph von Hardenberg (* March 14, 1621 ; † March 2, 1682 ) is the progenitor of all later lines of the Lower Saxon noble family von Hardenberg .
He is one of three sons of Hans Christoph von Hardenberg (1581–1645) and became governor and, from 1682, president of the Braunschweig Secret Council . He was married twice and had three sons who started their own lines of the family.
On February 12, 1649 Margarethe Sabine from the Winckel (* February 24, 1626 - † February 12, 1659) widowed von Hahn . After the death of his first wife, he married Magdalene Christine von Sehestedt . There are three sons from the last marriage:
- Christian Ludwig (* September 18, 1663; † December 6, 1736) ⚭ Sybille von Dörnberg (* May 4, 1669; † June 18, 1767) widowed von Hanstein, parents of Christian Ludwig von Hardenberg
- Georg Anton (* July 3, 1666; † May 29, 1721) ⚭ Dorothea Edle von Eltz , parents of Philipp Adam von Hardenberg
- Fritz Dietrich (September 1, 1674 - March 9, 1739), Colonel
- ⚭ 1714 Frederike Katharine von Hanstein († July 23, 1723)
- ⚭ 1724 Lucie Magdalene von Grote (* 1686; † March 30, 1755), parents of Hans Ernst von Hardenberg
