Hildebrand Christoph von Hardenberg

Hildebrand Christoph von Hardenberg (* March 14, 1621 ; † March 2, 1682 ) is the progenitor of all later lines of the Lower Saxon noble family von Hardenberg .

He is one of three sons of Hans Christoph von Hardenberg (1581–1645) and became governor and, from 1682, president of the Braunschweig Secret Council . He was married twice and had three sons who started their own lines of the family.

On February 12, 1649 Margarethe Sabine from the Winckel (* February 24, 1626 - † February 12, 1659) widowed von Hahn . After the death of his first wife, he married Magdalene Christine von Sehestedt . There are three sons from the last marriage:
