Hildegard Boerner

Paula Hildegard Boerner , also Hildegard Börner , (born March 12, 1870 in Leipzig , † after 1935) was a German concert singer and singing master.

Life

She was the daughter of a teacher and educational writer and his wife Caroline nee Franke. After attending the secondary school for girls in Leipzig, she attended a boarding school in Switzerland. She studied singing with the opera singer Marie Haupt , the wife of the hero tenor Georg Unger in Leipzig, then she moved to Aglaja Orgeni in Dresden and Wally Schauseil in Cologne . In addition, she was trained by other singing teachers.

From 1910 to 1914 she was a teacher at the consistory in Koblenz . During the First World War she moved to the master class of the consistory in Dortmund, where she worked until 1921.

Between 1900 and 1919 Hildegard Boerner gave numerous concerts at home and abroad as a concert soprano and made records and radio recordings. She trained many singers and also gave dance lessons. In the 1920s and 1930s she lived as a singing master in Berlin-Charlottenburg , Wielandstraße 13.

She was a member of the Reich Chamber of Music .

family

She married Professor Emil Richard Boerner on July 18, 1889, with whom she had the children Irma (* 1890), Elli (* 1896) and Charlotte (* 1906). All of the daughters all pursued artistic careers. Irma became a painter, Elli became an actress and Charlotte became a singer.
