The Hilden Jazz Days are an annual summer music festival in the city of Hilden since 1996 . Over 6000 visitors per season come to this event.
Overview
The artists include musicians from the German jazz scene as well as internationally known greats. The most famous guests included Billy Cobham , Pee Wee Ellis , Ed Thigpen , Nigel Kennedy , Jeff Berlin and Jeff Hamilton .
Although the festival is oriented towards the jazz genre, musicians from various genres such as modern jazz , fusion , funk , Latin , blues , rock or world music often perform .
The concerts taking place at the various venues in Hilden are partially recorded by WDR radio and broadcast on the WDR 3 radio station .
