Hill Country Village is a city in Bexar County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located on US Highway 281 in south-central Texas, about 20 km north of San Antonio and 5 km north of the San Antonio International Airport in the north of the county and has a total area of 5.6 km² without any significant water surface.
Demographic data
According to the 2000 census, 1,028 people in 340 households and 294 families lived here. The population density was 182.1 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 94.36% White, 1.07% African American, 0.58% Native American, 1.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents, and 1.36% non-residents ethnic groups. About 1.46% were of mixed race and 15.86% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 340 households, 39.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 79.1% of these were married couples living together. 4.7% were single mothers and 13.5% were non-families. 11.5% of all households were single households and there were people living in 5.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.02 and the average family size was 3.27.
28.2% of the population were under 18 years old, 5.0% 18 to 24, 17.6% 25 to 44, 36.6% 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 years of age or older . The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females of all age groups, there were 100.0 males. For every 100 women aged 18 and over there were 96.3 men.
The median income for a household in the 130,897 USD , and the median income for a family 147,176 USD. Males had a median income of $ 100,000 versus $ 40,750 for women.
