Hilshire Village is a city in Harris County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located on Interstate 10 , 12 km northwest of Houston , is in the southeast about 85 km from the Gulf of Mexico and has a total area of 0.7 km² without any significant water surface.
Demographic data
According to the 2000 census, 720 people in 286 households and 227 families lived here. The population density was 1,029.6 inhabitants per km². The racial the population was composed of 93.89% White, 0.42% African American, 0.14% Native American, 3.33% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 0.42% other ethnic groups. About 1.81% were of mixed race and 4.17% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 286 households, 33.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 69.9% of them were married couples living together. 6.6% were single mothers and 20.3% were non-families. 17.1% of all households were single households and there were people living in 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
