Hilltop Estate
The Hilltop Estate is the largest urban development project in Namibia . Since 2011, a closed new building area has been under construction on an area of around 220,000 square meters (22 hectares ). This includes apartments, houses, a 100-bed hotel and medical facilities as well as office buildings. The project has a total construction volume of 1.6 billion Namibian dollars . The Hilltop Estate is being built in the Kleine Kuppe district of the capital Windhoek .
Parts of the new development area
- In the first construction phase, from 2011 until completion at the end of 2014, a shopping center called The Grove Mall of Namibia and a sales area of 55,000 square meters was built. It is said to be the largest shopping center in southern Africa outside of South Africa .
- Lady Pohamba Private Hospital
- Megacentre (shopping center with around 30 shops) - Completion in April 2015
- Virgin Active Fitness Club
- Olive - apartment complex
- Town Lodge Windhoek - 147-bed hotel - opened in early 2018
