The Swiss ICT Award is a prize that honors outstanding achievements in the Swiss IT industry and by personalities . “The Swiss ICT Award has established itself” and is accordingly prestigious. The awards gala attracts 700 guests each time and is considered “the most important ICT event in Switzerland”.
Companies with a strong foothold in Switzerland can apply for the Swiss ICT Award in the main category and the newcomer category. A jury selects the winner from five finalists for each of the five finalists in the categories “Swiss ICT Award” and “Swiss ICT Newcomer Award”. The public, consisting of the readers of Swiss IT Magazine and the audience in the hall, also selects the winner of the “Public” award. The interdisciplinary and independent jury also honors personalities from the ICT industry for their work.
The award ceremony has been organized since 2008 by swissICT , the professional association in the Swiss ICT industry with the largest number of members; its predecessor was called the “Swiss IT Award” and was awarded in a similar form in 2004 and 2005, but as a “Swiss IT Award” and in product and service categories.
For the 10th anniversary of the Swiss ICT Award, the concept was focused in 2014: Now not only IT companies in the narrower sense can apply for the award, but all companies that have achieved something special thanks to IT.
