Grove Mall , until December 2019 The Grove Mall of Namibia is a shopping center in the Kleine Kuppe district of the Namibian capital Windhoek . It was opened in parts from October 2014 and then completely until April 2015. It is - by its own account - the largest shopping center in Africa outside of South Africa . In terms of construction costs, it is the sixth largest construction project in Namibia since independence in 1990.
The Grove was developed with a planned sales area of 55,000 square meters (m²) as part of the 220,000 m² Hilltop Estate , a closed development area with apartments, houses, hotels and medical facilities as well as office buildings. This comprises a total construction volume of 1.6 billion Namibian dollars . The number of trades is given as 80 to 120.
