Hilzinger ( spelling : hilzinger ) is a medium-sized German group of companies in the construction supply industry with headquarters in Willstätt in Hanauerland near Offenburg in Baden-Württemberg and numerous European locations. It produces window systems , shutters , window shutters , blinds , drive technology, window sills , house and interior doors made of plastic, wood, plastic / aluminum composite and aluminum. The company is owner-managed and family-owned. The managing partner of the locations in Germany and the Czech Republic is Helmut Hilzinger, for the locations in France, co-partner Hans-Werner Hilzinger is managing director.
Companies
The company was founded in 1946 by Helmut Hilzinger's father as a glazing, wooden window and coffin joinery with an affiliated funeral home. In 1976, master glazier Helmut Hilzinger took over the business from his parents and began to convert to plastic windows. Several competitors have been acquired over the years.
The group has (as of 2019) 18 production sites across Europe, 11 of them in Germany ( Willstätt in Baden-Württemberg, Angermünde and Hennigsdorf in Brandenburg, Boxberg / OL and Rossau in Saxony, Rendsburg in Schleswig-Holstein, Meißen in Saxony, Magdeburg and Weißandt-Gölzau in Saxony-Anhalt, Rheda-Wiedenbrück in North Rhine-Westphalia and Fritzlar in Hesse). The foreign production facilities are located in France ( Strasbourg in Alsace, Pleslin in Brittany and Cholet in Pays de la Loire) and in the Czech Republic ( Kraslice and Jičín ). There are also sales locations in Central Europe at home and abroad. In 2016, Hilzinger generated cumulative sales of 201 million euros across Europe. The production capacity is 1700 units per day. This makes the company one of the largest European manufacturers of windows and doors.
The distribution takes place through multiple channels: directly to retail customers in the region, indirectly through retailers in Germany, France and Switzerland, as well as directly and indirectly through the object store.
