History and description
The double villa was built in 1925 and 1926 according to plans by the architects Jakob Krug and Sixtus Grossmann .
The two block-like structures are connected by a single-storey crossbar with the terrace above. This used to have a pergola . The two-storey villa has a hipped roof with dormers and a symmetrically structured main facade with an emphasis on the center. The windows are typically arranged "around the corner" for the construction period. Original details such as window and parapet grilles and the iron fence have largely been preserved.
Monument protection
The twin villa is a typical example of the 1920s architectural style in Darmstadt. For architectural and city-historical reasons, the double villa is a cultural monument .
