Hinrich Wulff

Hinrich Wulff (born May 15, 1898 in Lienen near Elsfleth ; † April 29, 1978 in Bremen ) was a German educator , university professor and head of the University of Education in Bremen.

Life

Wulff was the son of a captain. From 1912 to 1919 he graduated from the Bremen teacher training college . In 1919 he became a teacher and in 1931 rector of the school on Nordstrasse in Bremen. He was close to the school reformers and was a member of the teachers' association in Bremen . He was connected to home history and the history of Bremen's schools. From 1924 he published newspaper articles on this. In 1925 he published his commemorative publication, Fifty Years of Schools on Nordstrasse, and in 1928 (together with Johann Entholt) pictures from the history of the Bremen elementary school system .

During the Second World War he was a teacher for the police and after the war a police vocational school teacher. In 1949 he became a teacher, then a professor at the University of Education in Bremen, where he taught history. In 1950 his work History and Face of the Bremen Teaching Body was published . In April 1950 he took over the management of the teacher training college. He advocated community schools and non-denominational classes in Biblical history . He retired in October 1960.

His literary estate is in the Bremen State Archives .
