Ernst Hinsken
Ernst Hinsken (* 5. February 1943 in Plattling ) is a German politician of the CSU . From 2005 to 2009 he was the Federal Government Commissioner for Tourism and from January to October 1998 Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Forestry.
Life and work
After attending elementary school , Hinsken completed an apprenticeship as a baker , which he completed with a journeyman's examination and in 1964 with a master’s examination . After completing his apprenticeship as a pastry chef , he initially worked in several companies and then took over his parents' bakery.
Ernst Hinsken is Catholic , married and has two children.
Political party
He has been a member of the CSU since 1967. Ernst Hinsken was the district chairman of the Junge Union Straubing-Bogen. In the CSU he has been a member of the Niederbayern district board since 1972 , and has been deputy district chairman since 1997. He has been CSU district chairman at Straubing- Bogen since 1985 and has been a member of the CSU state executive since 1995. From 1992 to 2000 he was state chairman of the SME Union in the CSU and from 1993 to 2001 he was deputy chairman of the medium-sized and business association of the CDU / CSU.
MP
From 1980 to 2013 he was a member of the German Bundestag . On November 9, 1989, the day the Berlin Wall fell, he spontaneously singed the German national anthem together with Franz Sauter (CDU) and Hermann Josef Unland (CDU) shortly before the end of the session of the German Bundestag , which prompted almost the entire Bundestag rose and sang the national anthem. From 1990 to 1997 he was the economic and transport policy spokesman for the CDU / CSU parliamentary group . From November 1998 to December 2005 he was chairman of the tourism committee and from 2002 to 2005 he was also a member of the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group. Since 2003 he has been chairman of the German-Egyptian parliamentary group .
Ernst Hinsken has always been a directly elected member of the Bundestag for the constituency of Straubing since 1983 . In the federal elections in 2002 and 2005 , he received the highest share of all constituency applicants in Germany with 74.6% and 68.0% of the first votes, respectively. In the 2009 federal election, Ernst Hinsken received 55.4% of the first votes. He did not run for the 2013 federal election.
His attempt in 2002 to present Chancellor Gerhard Schröder with a red lantern in the Bundestag caused media coverage . He wanted to show the economic situation of Germany as the bottom of Europe. The council of elders disapproved of this.
Public offices
From 1998 to 2005 he was Chairman of the Committee on Tourism and from April 2011 to 2013 Chairman of the Committee on Economics and Technology of the German Bundestag.
From 15 January to 26 October 1998, he belonged as Parliamentary Secretary in the Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Forestry that of Chancellor Helmut Kohl led Federal Government to.
