Rear Meßhof even rear Messhof , is a living space within the boundaries of the Külsheimer district of Steinbach in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The Hintere Meßhof can be reached via Hofstrasse , which branches off from Zwerggasse in the Steinbach district and which leads to the nearby Vorderer Meßhof residential area .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1278 as Massinpach . In 1481 it was mentioned as an obstacle messpach . It is a clearing settlement from the High Middle Ages. In 1765 the place came from the possession of the barons von Bettendorff to the Bronnbach monastery , later to Prince Karl von Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg .

After an eventful history, the rear and front measuring courtyards belong to the district of Steinbach. Steinbach in turn became a district of Külsheim on January 1, 1975.
