Front Meßhof even front Messhof and Upper Meßhof , is a living space within the boundaries of the Külsheimer district of Steinbach in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The Vorderer Meßhof can be reached via Hofstrasse , which branches off from Zwerggasse in the Steinbach district and continues to the Hinterer Meßhof residential area, which is not far away .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1481 as Vordem Messpach . The term Oberer Meßhof also appeared. It is a clearing settlement from the High Middle Ages. In 1765 the place was sold by the barons von Bettendorff to the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg .

After an eventful history, the Vordere and Hintere Meßhof belong to the district of Steinbach. Steinbach in turn became a district of Külsheim on January 1, 1975.
