Hirka Polonka ( Ukrainian Гірка Полонка ; Russian Горка Полонка Gorka Polonka , Polish Górka-Połonka, Górka Połonna ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Volyn Oblast with about 2,600 inhabitants (2001).

On August 1, 2018, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Hirka Polonka (Гіркополонківська сільська громада / Hirkopolonkiwska silska hromada ). This also includes the 5 villages Lavriw (Лаврів), Osdiw (Оздів), Polonka (Полонка), Ratniw (Ратнів) and Wiktorjany (Вікторяни), until then the village in the center of the district of Osdiw ( Оздв , ) with about 490 inhabitants and Polonka ( Полонка , ) with about 1100 inhabitants the district council of the same name.

The village lies on the banks of the Tschornohuska ( Чорногузка ), a 54 km long left tributary of the Styx , 10 km south-west of Rajon- and Oblastzentrum Lutsk . Through the village extending highway N 17 .

In Hirka Polonka were during the Second World War, mass executions ghettos conducted in August 1942 by Jews from Lutsk and neighboring villages after the dissolution of Lutsk, were where killed an estimated 25,000 Jews. The massacre was carried out by members of the SS and Ukrainian policemen on the orders of the Higher SS and Police Leader Russia South Hans-Adolf Prützmann . In 1990 a memorial was unveiled at the site of the mass grave.
