Hirschkofen is a part of the municipality of Feldkirchen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Hirschkofen is located on the Hausmettinger Bach about one and a half kilometers southwest of Feldkirchen.

history

Abbot Hermann von Niederaltaich transferred a monastery forest to Hirschkofen to the forester Konrad in 1268 with the condition that the forest there be cleared within two years. The Carmelites of Straubing acquired property in Hyrschkofen in the 15th century. The Gotteszell Monastery had also been wealthy in Hirschkofen since the 16th century.

In the registers of 1599, 1752 and 1785, the place belonged to the main team or chairman of Salching in the Straubing district court. In the year of conscription in 1752, Hirschkofen consisted of ten properties. In 1808 the Hirschkofen tax district was formed. With the formation of the communities in 1818/1821 Hirschkofen came to the community of Feldkirchen.

Attractions

  • Filial church of St. Bartholomew. The Romanesque nave of the medieval church was redesigned during the Baroque period.
