His Hero Is Gone was an American crust-punk band .
history
The band was founded in 1995 in Memphis (Tennessee) and had a great influence on bands from the hardcore and crust area. The crashing guitars and lyrics critical of consumption and society are characteristic of the music. "His Hero Is Gone" toured the US, Europe and Japan several times , but refused to advertise the band in any way, so there was never an official website and they were never signed to a major label . The band broke up in 1999 and the former members founded new bands, including Tragedy , in which three former HHIG members play, as well as Deathreat and Severed Head of State .
