Historias para no dormir (German about stories in which you zukriegst no eye ) is a Spanish Mystery - Horror series that Narciso Ibáñez Serrador on behalf of the sender Televisión Española was implemented from 1966 to 1982. The format is strongly reminiscent of Rod Serling's Twilight Zone and the Alfred Hitchcock series .

background

With Historias para no dormir , Narciso Ibáñez Serrador introduced the horror mystery genre to the Spanish television world. The first episode, El cumpleaños ( The Birthday ) aired on February 4, 1966 and was based on a story by Fredric Brown . Subsequently, Serrador wrote his own stories or adopted ideas from writers like Ray Bradbury or Edgar Allan Poe , including El pacto ( The Agreement , based on Poe's The Facts in the Waldemar Case ). With the end of the second season in 1968, the first incarnation of the series ended. In the 1970s, two special programs appeared out of sequence; In 1982, four color episodes aired as the third season of the series, including a remake of El pacto with the same actors as the 1967 version.

In 2005, several television films were made under the series title Películas para no dormir by well-known directors such as Mateo Gil , Jaume Balagueró , Paco Plaza , Álex de la Iglesia and Narciso Ibáñez Serrador ( Blame - The Cradle of Death ).
