The Hochstetter Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Хохщетер wrach Chochschteter ) is about 1000 m high and partly iced mountain in Graham land on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Trinity Peninsula, it rises 6.83 km west-southwest of Kukuryak Bluff , 10.82 km northwest of Levassor Nunatak and 2.69 km north to east of Smin Peak from the southeastern foothills of the Louis Philippe Plateau . The Cugnot Piedmont Glacier lies east of it.
German and British scientists carried out its mapping in 1996. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2010 after the German-Austrian geologist Ferdinand von Hochstetter (1829–1884), who worked in Bulgaria , other European countries and New Zealand .
