The Wedding of Maria d'Enghien ( Italian Il matrimonio di Maria d'Enghien ) is a historical parade in the old town of Taranto that takes place on the first Saturday in May and is organized by the Maria D'Enghien Cultural Center.

Maria d'Enghien , Countess of Lecce and Princess of Taranto, married King Ladislaus the Magnanimous of Naples on April 23, 1407 in the San Leonardo Chapel of the Castello Aragonese .

The significant moments of the wedding celebration are portrayed in the streets of the old town. At 6 p.m. the procession from the Palazzo delli Falconi (today Palazzo Gallo) in Via Paisiello, home of the noble Taranto, who hosted Ladislaus in the days before the wedding, begins. The wedding procession goes from Via Duomo to Piazza Castello, where the flag throwers of Oria and the swordsmen of the court perform.

At 7 p.m. the wedding celebration will be performed, which will begin with the appearance of the flag throwers, fencing masters, archers, musicians, dancers and singers on the arms square. At 8 p.m., the wedding parade goes to the cloister of the former Santa Chiara monastery (today's juvenile court), where the wedding meal takes place with original music and medieval dances.

Costumes, weapons, devices and tools from the Middle Ages can be seen in the Medieval Museum of Taranto .
