The Hofanlage Karweg 4 in Obervinxt , a district of the community of Schalkenbach in the district of Ahrweiler ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), is a former farm from the 19th century. The building ensemble is a protected cultural monument .
The courtyard on Karweg 4, a side path of the main street, consists of three buildings: two half-timbered houses and a barn . The main house, facing the street on the gable side , consists of two floors. The framework has no decorative forms. Another smaller half-timbered building that originally served as a barn stands at right angles to it. The common courtyard is separated from the street by a wooden gate. At some distance to the left is a barn, which was probably built later and gives the ensemble almost the appearance of a three-sided courtyard .
