The Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben Prize for Time-Critical Literature is an international literature prize that the Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben Society in Wolfsburg- Fallersleben awards every two years.
It does this in memory of the political poet of the pre-March period August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben , who was born in Fallersleben.
The award is given to authors “whose literary, historical or journalistic work proves independent thinking in its own way and encourages others to do so” (according to self-portrayal). The prize sum of 15,000 euros is donated by the Sparkasse Gifhorn-Wolfsburg .
