Hofolding
Hofolding is part of the municipality of Brunnthal south of Munich .
geography
At the time of the last census on May 25, 1987, the parish village of Hofolding had a population of 872. The entire community of Brunnthal had 3242 inhabitants at that time. At the district level, no updated population data from official statistics are available.
The place Hofolding is closely connected with the extensive forest area of the same name, the Hofoldinger Forest .
history
The village is surrounded by forest in the north, west and south and, together with Faistenhaar in the east, historically represents a cleared island .
Hofolding was incorporated into the municipality of Brunnthal on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform. The area of the former municipality corresponds to the existing district Hofolding with the district code 8680.
