Portenläng is a district of the municipality of Brunnthal in the Upper Bavarian district of Munich . The wasteland is about one kilometer southwest of Brunnthal.

history

The interpretation of the place name as a Roman remnant, derived from “prata longa” (long meadow) and supposed to be a Roman settlement, is questioned today.

From the 14th century on, Portenläng is referred to as "partenlinnten" in connection with the Tegernsee monastery .
