Hofwirth to the post office
The inn Hofwirth zur Post in Marquartstein , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was essentially built in the second half of the 18th century. The baroque building at Alte Dorfstraße 5 is a protected architectural monument .
The inn was mentioned in the 14th century and is one of the oldest inns in the Chiemgau .
The stately two-storey building with corrugated corners has a protruding hipped roof . It was renewed at the end of the 19th century. A complete restoration of the building took place from 1997 to 1999. The Lüftlmalerei in the gable is from more recent times.
