Hohenberg is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Lunz am See in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

The cadastral community is located north of Lunz and consists of numerous small settlement units, of which Pfaffenschlag, Bodingbach and Holzapfel are the most important today. The western border runs roughly along the Bodingbach and thus through the valley. It was named after the Hohenberg estate near Lunzberg , which is of little significance today . In the Franziszeischen cadastre near Pfaffenschlag an unspecified location Hohenberg is noted.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 94 building areas with 23,485 m² and 33 gardens on 24,795 m² in the cadastral community Hohenberg and also in 1989/1990 there were 94 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 244 and in 2009/2010 there were 149 buildings on 241 building areas.
