The Hohennauener-Ferchesarer See is an inland lake that extends from east to west in the state of Brandenburg in the Havelland district .
The elongated lake includes the Ferchesarer See in the east and the Hohennauener See in the west. The middle section is also known as Lake Semlin. The lake is connected to the west by the Hohennauen Canal with the Havel (at km 111.84). The Great Havelland Main Canal flows into the Hohennauener See from the northeast with water soup . The lake and canal form the Hohennauener Wasserstraße (HnW), another federal inland waterway that is part of the Lower Havel waterway . The Brandenburg Waterways and Shipping Office is responsible . The lake is 8.83 kilometers long and between 300 and 900 meters wide, the canal is 1.57 kilometers long. The Hohennauer See has an area of 427 ha, the Ferchesarer See 97 ha.
On the eastern (“upper”) bank of the lake are the places Ferchesar (part of the municipality of Stechow-Ferchesar ), on the south bank Semlin (part of the town of Rathenow ); On the north bank are the places water soup and Hohennauen (districts of the municipality Seeblick ).
