Hohenstein is a hamlet in the town of Blaustein in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . In the course of the municipality reform in Baden-Württemberg, Hohenstein came to Blaustein on October 1, 1974 as a district of Bermaringen .

The place is about two kilometers southeast of Bermaringen and can be reached via the district road 7383 .

history

Hohenstein Castle (Hauenstein), along with a farm, was an imperial fiefdom and in the 16th century owned by the Lords of Wernau , the Stammler, Gräter and Schleicher families in Ulm , and in 1571 by the city of Ulm, which they sold to the Kraft family in 1693.
