history

Bermaringen is first handed down in 1225. Goods in Bermaringen were part of the founding donation from Albert von Ravenstein for the Elchingen monastery . Probably a fiefdom of the Counts of Dillingen , the village was one of the four Hohenstaufen regional courts of the imperial bailiffs over Ulm (1255) and shortly afterwards fell to the Counts of Helfenstein as heir .

In the 14th century, the von Stein zu Klingenstein and the lords of Lauterstein (see Lauterstein Castle ) and von Hörningen, who are related to each other , appear as common local lords .

The rulership of the village passed to the Ulm family Ehinger by purchase in 1444, to Kraft before 1476, to the Urspring Monastery in 1484 and to Ulm in 1512, which had already acquired property, escort and forest rights from the Helfensteiners in 1442 and 1482 .

In the times of Ulm, Bermaringen was the official place of teaching , Mähringen and Hohenstein , to which the office of Scharenstetten with Radelstetten and Temmenhausen came in 1772 .

Bermaringen came to Bavaria in 1803 and by the border treaty between Bavaria and Württemberg in 1810 to the Kingdom of Württemberg , where it was subordinated to the Oberamt Blaubeuren . In 1938 Bermaringen came to the district of Ulm .
