Temmenhausen is a district of the Dornstadt municipality in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . As part of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , the municipality of Temmenhausen was incorporated into Dornstadt on January 1, 1975.

The clustered village on the northern edge of the surface Alb is about four kilometers northwest of Dornstadt and can be reached via the 1233 highway.

history

Temmenhausen is first handed down in 1225. The Elchingen Monastery already had property in the village in 1225, which it partially sold to the Counts of Werdenberg in 1334 . The place was in aid stone and came partly to Ulm in 1482, partly via the Stein zu Ronsberg in 1444 to the Ehinger, 1451 to the Stein zu Klingenstein, 1466 to the Katharinenpflege Ulm and then to the imperial city of Ulm. The older Stein zu Klingenstein, Westerstetten and Hörningen property came mainly to the Teutonic Order in the 13th and 14th centuries .

Temmenhausen came to Bavaria in 1803 and by the border treaty between Bavaria and Württemberg in 1810 to the Kingdom of Württemberg , where the place was subordinate to the Oberamt Blaubeuren .

During the district reform during the Nazi era in Württemberg , Temmenhausen came to the Ulm district in 1938 . In 1945 the place became part of the American zone of occupation and thus belonged to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Baden , which was incorporated into the current state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952. In 1973 the district reform took place in Baden-Württemberg , when Temmenhausen became part of the Alb-Donau district. 1975 Temmenhausen in the wake of the unification of Tomerdingen with Dornstadt district of the new community Dornstadt.
