The Holder Peak is a low mountain on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . It rises 3 km east of Mount Caroline Mikkelsen and immediately north of Young Peak .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs from the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 and named it together with Young Peak as Tvillingfjell (Norwegian for twin mountains ). The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named the mountain described here after James Holder, who in 1963 was involved in surveying the area as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions and also worked as a meteorologist at Davis Station .
