Holger Franke (born May 5, 1942 in Weimar ) is a German actor , author and director .
Life
From 1961 to 1964 Holger Franke completed an acting training. After that he had various engagements in theaters, radio and TV. In 1972 Franke began as an actor in the Berlin Grips Theater . In 1973 Holger Franke founded the socially committed theater Rote Grütze together with others . There he worked as a writer, director and actor. During this time, well-known pieces such as We don't talk about it! and what does love mean here? . In 1987 he worked with Dani Levy for the first time on the screenplay for the film RobbyKallePaul . From 1988 to 1992 Franke was acting director and author at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart . From 1992 to 1999 he was employed at the Theaterhof Priessental. In 2000 Franke returned to Berlin. In 2001 Franke then re-founded the Rote Grütze Theater with Ricky Strohecker. In the same year he and Dani Levy began working on the script for the film Alles auf Zucker! . In 2005 he received the German Film Prize for this together with Dani Levy . His daughter Anja Franke , Levy's ex-partner, also starred in the film.
