Holland Car PLC was an Ethiopian automobile manufacturer headquartered in Addis Ababa .

Company history

Tadesse Tessema and the Dutch company Trento BV, Engineering founded the company in 2005. In 2005 or 2006 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Holland Car .

In 2008 plans emerged that a sister company called Cassiopeia would manufacture around 1,500 pick-ups a year from May 2009 at a plant in Tatek .

In November 2012, Capital Ethiopia magazine reported the company's insolvency. Production ended in 2013 or 2014.

Models

The first model was the Holland Car DOCC under license from FIAT . It was technically based on the Fiat 131 and largely corresponded to the version by Tofaş .

This was followed by Holland Car Abay , Holland Car Abay Executive , Holland Car Awash Executive , Holland Car Emay , later renamed Holland Car Imay , Holland Car Naomi , Holland Car Shebelle and Holland Car Tekeze .
